My Experience, Expertise and Credentials
I am a pastoral psychotherapist with over 40 years of experience in providing individual, marital, family and group psychotherapy. As our wounding and losses occur through relationships so I believe our healing and growth take place in the crucible of human relationships. In the therapy relationship I provide a safe, welcoming and accepting environment where individuals, couples and famlies can find healing and creative, imaginative approaches to life’s dilemmas and mysteries.
I have extensive experience in small and large group facilitation and community building and have served as a human relations consultant for agencies and businesses. My specialized training and experience includes Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD). I have taught on the graduate level for years as an adjunct faculty member of Loyola University. I have served as director of a Pastoral Counseling Center, president of the Louisiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the C.G. Jung Society. I am an elder of the New Orleans Men’s Circle.
My credentials include being a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Louisiana (#138), a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (#925) and a Clinical Member in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (#8234).
